The music is a little loud for our personal liking but you don't have to have the music play. Light can be turned on and off. Plastic toys don't last long at my house but it will be well loved. It is exactly as advertised and what I expected!

    This is super cute. The eyes light up and it has 3 different songs. It goes pretty fast so it might be better for slightly older kids around 6 to 10 instead of like a 4 yr old. We only tried it on our wood floors but it has enough power to go on shorter carpet. I am unsure about shag carpet. This is definitely a fun little toy. I am not sure I would normally spend $40 on something like this but if I had kids into cute robots I would absolutely buy it for them.
