The mesh trim is asymmetrical - more narrow on one side, and it is very untidy smack at the center due to pinched lining (see pictures). There are problems with the mesh trim at the back too, see the second photo. However, if not for the front defects I would keep it bc I plan to wear it only under the jackets. So, I'm returning this one, which is a pity because I like it and the color suits its purpose. I ordered another one and hope it doesn't have these defects, at least not at the front Amen to that. UPDATE 1: vvvvv Replacement top in Champaigne doesn't have pinched lining, but mesh trim is not symmetrical, although can be fixed. So, I decided to keep this one. UPDATE 2: vvvvv Amazon apparently doesn't allow for different reviews for different version of the same item, so here is review for aurora borealis top. The prevalent colors in the picture in description are purple and turquoise, with some gold on close up picture. The real thing is mostly red/orange/gold than cooler shades. I have mirrors in differently lighted places, but both, warm white and daylight lightings show more red/orange/gold than other shades regardless of whether lighting was from front or back. To be fair camera shows some purple and way more gold, but not as much as in the description pictures, but my phone camera usually adds some blue tints.

    Based on other customer reviews I was unsure what size to order, so ended up ordering one in my usual size in Medium and another one in Large. The Medium fit perfectly and I returned the Large. To be clear, this is the straight top, NOT the peplum style. The side zippers IMO prevent this from being formal, so if that is what you are needing then this is not the top for you. I bought the Champagne color and it is lovely. The sequins are applied in a random pattern with no gaps, and they catch the light well and sparkle beautifully. I have not experienced any skin irritation from the sequins rubbing my skin as reported by some other customers, but I am relatively slender so perhaps that helps with keeping my arms from having too much contact with the sequins. I purchased this to wear to an Elton John concert, but it is nice enough to wear to a holiday party or other non-formal event. It was packaged very well.

    This item fits exactly (so if you prefer a little wiggle room order one size up). I ordered an XL (I’m 5’8” and 200 lbs). The sequins are itchy around the underarms. So while it is nice, fits well and it’s pretty, it is NOT comfortable for a long wear. Maybe a short dinner out, but after 2-3 hours you will not want to keep this item on.

    I wanted to like this so bad and after trying on many sequin tops from Amazon this 1 matched my shoes but it scratches under the arms possibly due to sequins front, back and sides. I bought the silver and the really weird thing as well is that the zippers on the side which are no big deal but the zippers are gold not silver to match. I am 5'7 and 165 and have a 40D chest and the large is to small so going to return it :(
