This advent calendar is very cute! It is a lot bigger than I expected, which is nice. The advent book itself is 21.25 inches tall and 14 inches wide and the books are 4.75 inches tall and 3.9 inches wide. The advent book seems very sturdy. There is a small flaw in the fold of the book, which really isn’t a big deal as it doesn’t affect the functionality of the book and is barely noticeable. The story books themselves are longer stories than I expected which I am happy about. They are a little delicate and won’t last with little kids. The only aspect that is disappointing is that there is a focus more of the classics for example: Dumbo, Pinocchio, 101 Dalmatians, Winnie the Pooh, Robin Hood and more. My kids don’t even know some of the characters. They could have had a book for Beauty and the Beast story, Tangled, Frozen, Luca and more.

    This is a terrific Advent calendar for children 4-10. Younger ones will have to have the books read to them. It will last many years- sturdily made. Be aware it is quite large, like many other Advent calendars that have building sets in them. It is relatively flat, however. I think my 7 & 3 year old grandsons will enjoy it.

    My grandkids live in another state, so we don’t spend time together in person. But I have begun some little traditions around Christmas time for them, and the Disney Book Advent Calendar is how we start the holiday season off. This is the 3rd year of them receiving the calendar, to be followed with a shipment of Christmas themed pajamas and a package containing two huge gingerbread cookies with all the decorating icing and candies, kid sized aprons, hot chocolate bombs and new holiday mugs. In turn I receive videos and FaceTime experiences with them decorating their gingerbread men, or going to the new Disney Advent Book Calendar to get their nightly bedtime story. It’s the little things that mean so much to kids, it’s the little traditions they recall, and the time they get to spend with their parents before bed reading the stories that Mimi sent. Those little things Disney seems to know are very important. Thank you for helping me start, and continue this precious tradition, even when I can’t physically be there, I am there with them when they listen to the Disney stories.

    I ordered this for my 2 young nieces to start on December 1st. The older one is a good reader and her mom said she will enjoy reading to her sister everyday. I liked this since it has books instead of food and/or just toys. I sent it directly to their home so didn't get to physically see, but their mom sent a picture of the calendar and it looks really nice and well made.
