This thing is fantastic. My step-mom has one and when I tried it at her house I NEEDED to get one. Its a real workhorse. I'm able to make 4 smoothies at once in this thing! The only issues I've had are when I overfill it, which is of course my own fault lol.

You Get What You Pay For.
I will submit a review of its performance later. I do hope it works and last as my $14.95 second hand store Vita-mix (it still work btw). First impression, the body is made of plastic, and it doesn’t feel of good quality either. Very disappointed in that. My old Vita-mix, it was ancient when I got it, is all metal. I’ve accidentally dropped it several times and it worked like a charm and didn’t even dent. I know if that happens to this one it will brake immediately. It came with a damper that you can buy in the Dollar Store. Like a little hollow plastic bat that you get your 5 yo kids. Not joking. The container looks well made, but also not to the standards of the old pitchers. The cover is also of poor quality. Even refurbished this was more than $200 with taxes. $199.00 refurbished price. As long as it works and outlast 8 yo Vita-mix (I imagine it was at least that old originally, so probably more than 10 yo, yes that would make it an adult) I will be happy. Other than the price, I would not buy again this model. I’ll edit my post in six months. If it lasts until then. Cross your fingers. After all it was returned for a reason.

In addition, the plug is US plug.
I have not tried it with a transformer.
Otherwise it would be a good blender.
