    "If I want something, I buy it myself," he says. My husband has been notoriously difficult to buy for the entire 39 years we've been married. That's all fine and good for 361 days of the year that are not his birthday, Christmas, Father's Day and our anniversary. But I can't just not give him a gift on those special days.
    For many years, we tried to give big gifts for our anniversary and Valentine's Day (which are really close together). Then we decided to just celebrate both on a day within that week, and call it good.
    Now, we have a nice meal and splurge on his favorite liquor and enjoy a small glass of that by the fire.
    "No gifts" we keep saying. But, yes, we each give gifts then chastise the other for getting us a gift, lol.
    Well, the gifts are getting smaller and more meaningful.
    And this year, I wanted to give him something that would be meaningful but also practical.
    This wooden tray is PERFECT. He put it on his nightstand and puts change or such in it. Even if it's empty, it's still lovely to look at. The wood is lovely but so, too, is the message on it. The lettering is perfect - some of it is printed with a script font and the rest is printed with a basic font: a nice visual impact to help deliver the messsage.
    And the message? Not one bit cliche. Not one bit. It's simple and loving, and honest. I mean, it really is something I have said to him over and over: thank you for loving me for who I am and not making me feel like I'm not good enough.

    The quality of the tray is really nice. It's smooth and has a nice soft finish, nothing glossy or tacky. It's teak and really quite lovely. He builds homes for a living and knows various woods. He has always admired teak, for its resiliency and resistance to the elements that can destroy wood.

    The workmanship on this is outstanding and there's not a single thing I can find to complain about.

    It comes in a simple box, that's not really suitable for gifting. So, by all means - GET THIS TRAY! But get a nice box to put it in when you give it. The box was good for shipping and I would prefer that be the priority. But it doesn't even come with a gift bag or anything, so just know that you will want to get something nice to put it in as a gift.

    I HIGHLY recommend this to give as a gift to the person you are celebrating anniversaries with.

    I decided to get this for my husband for our anniversary. It’s cute. I expected it to be a little bit bigger. I knew it wasn’t going to be anything huge but it was definitely smaller than I anticipated. Overall, the craftsmanship is very nice it’s something great to have a man put aside as bad or his office to put his keys and or watch or things like that.

    Overall, it’s definitely packaged nicely and I feel that it’s a good price. I am happy with it other than it just being a little bit smaller than I expected.
