great value for the price. I love how it sticks to the wall on a stud when it's found. Wish it was a little stronger to read through thicker parts of walls. For example, it'll find a stud on an older wall but won't locate the stud if you move it directly above the previous spot on the wall. So for thicker older walls I guess you could say it's spotty. However, if you can locate the stud at one point you can easily draw a vertical line to establish the stud so-to-speak.

This is so easy and really works great. I can’t believe I used electronic stud finders for years with their glitchy accuracy. This just finds the heads of the screws or nails in your Sheetrock and accurately indicates where the studs are. Flawless. So easy. Plus just let it hang above or below where you want to drive your screw or hammer your nail and there is no need to mark the stud on 5he wall with pencil or tape. So retro. So easy so simple.

This simple little tool really works. It is minimalist and no frills but it found studs flawlessly when I was hanging bikes on the inside of the garage walls. In fact, I turned to this Stud-buddy when my electronic stud finder was having some kind of conniption and was giving me mixed readings. My local big name home centers had plenty of electronic stud finders at $25-$50 but didn't have this great little Stud-Buddy. Thanks to Amazon for having it! If you have complicated guts behind your walls with lots of metal pipes, etc., it may potentially make using this great little device a little more challenging, but in my experience for my application it was a breeze. And the fact that it stuck to the wall by itself magnetized it helped tremendously with marking the location of my drill holes.
