Thank heavens I bought this medallion to use since we have textured ceilings and cleaning all the dirt properly, wasn't possible. This medallion covered it right up and looks wonderful under my chandelier. The thickness wasn't a challenge for installation and is more durable than the plastic ones. I am so happy to have this and do recommend it.

I liked the style and the quality, but be careful about the thickness. I had an issue where the light fixture that I was hanging did not have long enough mechanical screws to reach from the electrical box to the light fixture with the added 3/4 of an inch thickness of the ceiling medallion. I ended up buying new mechanical screws from the store (the longest that the home improvement store carried), which were still too short to reach the light fixture from the electrical box. I ended up having to buy a thin (flush) ceiling medallion from the store.
