So I originally bought this book because of the author. Vivian is just a relatable influencer and a productive one. Her influencing is finance and saving you money. Not weight loss, MLM, get rich quick schemes, *insert useless info from influencer here*, etc. She has actually saved me money in the past, maybe not millions but a dollar saved means a lot to me. Her book is filled with her relatable mannerisms as well. I have read “male, pale, and stale” finance books as Vivian likes to put it. But Vivian’s book actually has made me laugh and think, plus take action. And it’s made for the modern day person trying to understand finances. On your journey to build financial literacy, this is a great read. It’s entertaining and engaging. I hope she puts out another book, because it is very well written.

    I think it’s a really well written book and it’s comprehensive, but as someone who already puts most of their paychecks in savings and has an investment property I thought the information was for beginners and light on value (for me). Like if I was in my 20’s I would’ve appreciated the wisdom but as I’m encroaching on my 40’s I feel like I have most of the information in the book in broad strokes. Plus things like saving money in ATM fees is really not as life changing as let’s say… how to invest in real estate in the right market or something more meaningful.

    I consider myself somewhat financially savvy. I’m certainly not Warren Buffett- but I never carry a balance on my credit cards, I contribute to my 401k, and I have a brokerage account. I wasn’t sure how much actual actionable advice there would be in this book, but I truly felt like I was learning something new every chapter.

    All of the advice in here is written out in a way to not only educate, but motivate you to act on it. I was really impressed not only at how great the explanations for seemingly complicated concepts were, but also how step-by-step and clear it is to actually start DOING the thing. I really appreciated all the breakdowns regarding how to invest and how to prioritize your investing. I didn’t know anything about HSA’s, and they always seemed like kind of a niche, unnecessary thing (as a healthy 30 year old, a health savings account just doesn’t seem like something that would set me up for success), BUT! Now I know better thanks too Vivian!

    I highly recommend this book, no matter your financial situation or age. There’s a ton of fantastic advice and resources, and its written in a very fun and empathetic way. I plan on telling all my friends and mom about it!
