This is seriously one of my favorite sunscreens. It doesn’t leave any white cast, even on my beard — which is a huge win since a lot of cream sunscreens end up looking patchy there. It also doesn’t sting my eyes at all, and I’m really sensitive to a lot of formulas, so that’s been a big relief. It’s super moisturizing but never feels sticky or greasy, and it gives my skin a nice glassy, healthy look. It’s perfect for days when my skin barrier feels a little compromised or when I’m dealing with dryness from actives or tretinoin. I reach for it anytime my skin needs some extra TLC. It was FSA eligible when I first grabbed it (doesn’t seem to be anymore), but honestly, it’s totally worth the price. Highly recommend!

This THANKYOU FARMER Sun Project Water Sun Cream is rated SPF50+/PA+++ and it's broad spectrum, protecting against both UVA and UVB rays. It's a hybrid sunscreen with a total of 6 active sunscreen ingredients. It uses a mix of 1 newer and 4 older generation chemical sunscreen filters/UV ray absorber ingredients, combined with 1 physical/mineral filter: Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinul A Plus) -- new generation chemical UV filter Octocrylene -- older generation chemical UV filter, unfortunately not totally safe for coral reefs Ethylhexyl Salicylate -- older generation chemical UV filter Homosalate -- older generation chemical UV filter Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (aka octinoxate) -- older generation chemical UV filter Titanium Dioxide - old gen physical/mineral UV block The one newer generation chemical sunscreen ingredient, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinul A Plus), is approved in the EU, Japan and South Korea, and is known to be photostable and safe. The cream feels lightweight on skin and doesn't feel sticky or greasy after application. It has a white color when squeezed out of the tube, but goes on clear and smooth. Like many hybrid sunscreens, it doesn't leave a white cast. It also works well under makeup and doesn't pill. On the potential drawback side, one of the ingredients is alcohol, which helps other ingredients absorb more readily, but drying alcohols can worsen dry skin. It also contains fragrance, which can potentially irritate sensitive skin. However, if you don't mind fragrance or prefer it, the scent is floral and pleasant. Also, it is not waterproof. It's meant to be worn as a regular everyday sunscreen for work and errands, rather than formulated for sports or the beach. It's made in Korea and the THANK YOU FARMER brand is well-regarded among K-Beauty enthusiasts and this sun cream in particular is a bestseller. The tube has a foil seal under the cap, and the expiration date is clearly marked and is many years out. The ingredients list is printed in English on the outer box, but not the tube.
