Bought to keep my young ferrel cat from scratching furniture and this works a treat. Much better than the expensive sprays. No damage to upholstery that I can see and no odor or repeat sprays. Cat was so surprised at the unpleasant stickiness. The only drawback is sitting in the chair can get a little sticky, but once the cat knows not to scratch there, I think the tape can be removed. I will wait a while longer to remove.. but if the scratching starts again, just apply more tape, just here and there is enough. I used only 1 of 3 rolls for 3 vulnerable upholstered chairs. Less than $3 for tape or $300+ to reupholster each chair.
There is nothing to dislike other than that the tear off on dispenser is slightly less sharp than I would like.
