INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

This unputdownable psychological thriller by New York Times bestselling author Lisa Jewell follows a woman who finds herself the subject of her own popular true crime podcast.

Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday at her local pub, popular podcaster Alix Summer crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie, it turns out, is also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins.

A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix’s children’s school. Josie has been listening to Alix’s podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. She is, she tells Alix, on the cusp of great changes in her life.

Josie’s life appears to be strange and complicated, and although Alix finds her unsettling, she can’t quite resist the temptation to keep making the podcast. Slowly she starts to realize that Josie has been hiding some very dark secrets, and before she knows it, Josie has inveigled her way into Alix’s life—and into her home.

But, as quickly as she arrived, Josie disappears. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible and terrifying legacy in her wake, and that Alix has become the subject of her own true crime podcast, with her life and her family’s lives under mortal threat.

Who is Josie Fair? And what has she done?

Celebrating her 44th birthday, popular podcaster Alix crosses paths with Josie. Josie is also celebrating her 44th birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins. A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again. Josie has been listening to Alix's podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. But, as quickly as she arrived, Josie disappeared. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible legacy in her wake and that Alix has become the subject of her true crime podcast. Who is Josie Fair? And what has she done? NONE OF THIS IS TRUE is a deliciously wicked tale of two women coming together as "birthday twins" but living entirely differently! Alix is a well-known glamorous podcaster, while Josie is a strange yet complex denim-wearing seamstress. For the most part, Alix seemed well put together, even if her husband had disappointing moments. But Josie was a hard nut to crack. Is she likable? A weirdo? Can she be trusted? She was unreliable through and through! I couldn't tell where Josie was going with this podcast and if everything out of her mouth was truthful. Regardless, Josie's life was ridiculously messy. I would love to experience Alix's podcast if I were a listener to this story! Once Josie drops off the face of the Earth, Alix discovers secrets that blew me away! What in the hell? I sadly can't talk about it since I'm not about to spoil the fun. But holy crap, what a turn of events! The narrative ended by shattering my heart, and I still don't know what to think or who to trust. Funny enough, this is my first Lisa Jewel book. I know, shocking! From now on, I'll be reading every book Lisa has written. She's a gem of a writer and has a way of spinning everything on its axis and knocking us out with mindblowing twists. NONE OF THIS IS TRUE is a must-read. Drop what you're doing and pick this thriller up now!

This was a wild read with lots of surprises and craziness and I just kept wanting to finish it and figure out the truth! While the ending does help us reach some conclusions I still feel like it wasn’t full closure for all the things that were happening so I feel a little confused- however I guess the title is fitting and I do think the story itself was so wild it was good! The writing was fast paced and held my attn!

⭐️⭐️.5 - Meh. I read it, didn’t hate it, but wasn’t over enthusiastic about it either.
Honestly, I’m still not really sure what the truth was, even after finishing this book. Was that the intention? Again, I’m not too sure. I did really enjoy this audiobook though. It felt like I was really listening to a podcast & a book at the same time. I did enjoy listening but I wasn’t amazed by the twists. I did come across any jaw-dropping revelations & I felt that the story was pretty predictable.

I really enjoyed this absolute page turner. It kept me engaged and was fast paced. I can easily see this being actually developed into a Netflix series. Netflix would be silly not to jump on this. The story itself is very sick and twisted. At first, I thought it was going to be super predictable but it was decently twisty turnery surprisingly. My only real complaint and this is probably a silly one to most, but to me the use of God's name in vain was a bit overkill. Aside from that I was well pleased with this story! 9.3 out of 10 stars!

    NONE OF THIS IS TRUE
    Lisa Jewell

I read this book with the UNDER THE RADAR BOOK CLUB this month. If you’re not a member of the club, you are missing out. We read all the best upcoming new releases in fiction and nonfiction.

NONE OF THIS IS TRUE is really good. It may be the best of Jewell’s career which is saying a lot. It’s my favorite of hers and it deserves all the attention it’s going to get this summer and the rest of the year.

    Let’s talk about it.

NONE OF THIS IS TRUE is about Alix Summers. Alix is a popular podcaster that features women who have been through transformative moments in their life only to overcome all obstacles and become their best selves. On Ali’s 45th birthday she “bumps” into Josie Fair in the restroom who is surprisingly also celebrating her 45th birthday.

    They are birthday twins.

A couple of days later Josie shows up at Alix’s children’s school and proposes that Alix feature Josie on her famous podcast as her life is about to change in miraculous ways.

This is such an interesting concept that Alix can’t stop thinking about it or Josie. She has never approached a subject in this way, and she quickly grasps the idea and agrees. We follow along as Josie shares her story, her life, her everything with Alix. Who unknowingly starts to play a part in her very own podcast.

The way NONE OF THIS IS TRUE unfolds is perfection. There were moments that I literally could not put it down and needed to keep reading to hear Josie tell her story. The writing is smooth and easy to read. I bought into every character and was on the hook the entire time the story was unfolding.

I read this in ebook format and I can’t tell you how long it has been since I’ve read in that format. NONE OF THIS IS TRUE kept my attention the entire time and I found myself reaching for it over other books that I had in my rotation at the time.

If you haven’t picked this one up yet now is the time!

Thank you to Netgalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy!

NONE OF THIS IS TRUE… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book had me pretty hooked all the up until the end. Before I finished, I thought this would be a 5 star read for sure but the ending just wasn’t a 5 star ending for me, I needed 1 or 2 more odd clues. Overall however, it was still a 4-4.5 star book, very well written and definitely a psychological thriller.

I really enjoyed None of This Is True—the story was gripping, the characters were well-developed, and the suspense kept me hooked. The unique premise and writing style made it a real page-turner. However, I felt like the pacing slowed down toward the end, and it didn’t keep the same level of excitement as the beginning. Still, a great read overall and worth picking up if you enjoy psychological thrillers!
