I am writing this because this item is one of those useful quality products you tell people about, plus I didnt know it existed but its useful - so I bought more and I am using it in a few other places I didnt originally plan on (the kitchen drawers with the MISC stuff). I have 26 years of purchases on Amazon.
I have a 19" rack with some 2U drawers and wanted something like a silverware cubby thing. I found these dividers and because I really only needed large divisions, not tiny little bubbies.
I was worried they wouldn't look good or slip around - not that I care what they look like but I always find stuff looks great in pictures then when I get it its cheap plastic looking and quality.
These look GREAT in fact packaged in a light soft foam, very nice painting(?) or finish, a cool engraved Rolls Royce sort of logo (too bad nobody will see it even you once you install it).
They are pressure fit when you install them - like those straight curtain rods inside the window frame. You push it together, set it inside, and then let go so it expands, and its a tight fit. There is a wooden pin in to keep it closed so then they ship they are small, then you squeeze it together, the pin falls out and it expands (caught me by surprise but it wont hurt you theyre not that strong )
They looked gorgous as soon as I took them out of the box. And they look gorgous in my 19" black rack as compared to what I originally thought I was eventually going to have to use. Most people wont put them in a rack but i can think of all sorts of places to put these, including sideways to act as a small shelf - for the right place of course
I bought more for some of the drawers in the kitchen.
