First off, the bar comes fully assembled. Though, what they don't tell you is that the back portion is not fully twisted in. So if you install the bar as is it will be super loose and too loose to put any weight on either side of it. If you don't fully twist it tight the bar will teeter over like a see-saw. Even when you do screw it in with all human might, there still will be some play. I haven't tried, but maybe you can completely unscrew/twist off that loose portion then apply some thread-lock tape, then re-screw it together with all your might. Secondly, you must make sure you are screwing into a stud rather than straight drywall. Otherwise, it will not be able to hold any decent amount of weight and fall out the wall like mine did. I had screwed into plastic drywall anchors, but that was not enough. Heavy duty metal anchors might work (?) I ended up using a loose piece of wood, screwing that into my drywall with drywall anchors, hand torqueing it to test it's weight capacity, then screwing the bar into the piece of wood * see provided image. Positives is that it's super tough and made of steel or something. It also has a nice painted finish that doesn't seem like it can chip anytime soon. Aesthetics are very hipster bar or something, but that was negligible to me - as i was looking for pure functionality. Overall, it's a solid product but will take some DIY-ing to make it fully functional.

I mounted this inside my van to hang clothes and leashes because I travel for dog shows. I mounted it from the ceiling cross beam, removing the short arm bar and screwing the curved attachment directly to the base. For a vehicle, you may want to use screwlock to keep motion from unscrewing it over time. It works great, it's nice and heavy, and holds the weight of my luggage.

We have a nice rolling clothes hanger with space at the bottom to put... well, whatever you want to put there. But it is just in the way as we don't have that much space around the washer and dryer in our basement.

This setup was easy to install on the floor joist and since it is screwed into solid wood it is solid.

I don't know that I would like it on a wall, but it works great the way it is set up here.

I cannot day enough good things about this! I love it. It is perfect for hanging clothes as they come out of the dryer and when I’m done I keep my extra hangers on it!!! Only draw back for me is I should have read the dimensions as I thought it was a littler bigger but in the end it fits for what I needed it for!
