    I bought these two trays because they were very inexpensive. After reading MANY reviews for similar products where customers complained about "white residue" after use, I did a little research. The white residue is in fact Calcium Sulfate – meaning basically the residue is associated with the chemicals in hard water. Like a mineral deposit. The minerals from the water calcify and adhere to the walls of the silicone and are then transferred to the surface of the next ice cube. Easiest way to clean is vinegar or CLR type product. I used about 1 tablespoon of CLR and rubbed it into the entire tray with my fingers. Took about 30-60 seconds, then I rinsed in the sink to find the surface clean, shiny, and ready to go. This is a common issue with silicone cooking utensils so don't be afraid thinking this is some strange new thing. My only gripe is this: I wish the cubes were just a little bigger. Actual cubes measure just under 2 x 2 x 2 inches. I wish it was more like 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches.

    I love how deep the compartments are, for lack of a better word lol. But these cubes are deep and big. they give you a nice size ice cube. In my opinon one is enough for an 8-16oz glass of whatever liquid your drinking. I also made baby food for my 6mos old at the time and it was more than enough for one feeding for her. She's 3 mos older now, but even still the amount it stores in each cube is perfect to pair up with something else for lunch, dinner or to just give one cube as a snack (baby food wise).

Though you may have to run a little bit of warm water on the bottom of the tray for the ice cubes to come out of easier, or that’s just what I’ve been doing. Life hack (if you didn’t already know this): make iced coffee cubes & add one to your coffee so it never gets watered down!
