I was not sure what to expect, but this is a great product at a reasonable price! And my wife, who is very picky about items at the table, loves them! Each uses four AAA cells which I think would mean that they will last a long time. Nice lights , and a bonus of covers for the bottom so that the salt and pepper doesn't leak out onto the table. Just make sure to remove them before use or you won't see any salt or pepper! :)

Grinding is not what I had hoped
First the positives, The outside material is easy to hold. The assembly is simple and the light shows well. Excited, I readied the grinder and put in the 6 batteries. No matter how I adjusted settings the pepper was VERY course. I tried the other grinder to find it ground more finely. I tried two different pepper corns. Neither grinder settings adjusted well. Also, the ad DID say it took 6 batteries as it showed the photo of the opening for 3 to be inserted. I mistakenly assumed it meant I needed 6 in total, not 12 to operate both grinders. I should have looked closer.

Expected the grinders to perform at their price point, but they perform so much better. They take 6 AAA each, which is a lot for my battery stash. But you can set your preferred grind level and it is reliable. Could be good gift if you also give batteries.
