I recently took a 14-hour flight to Japan, and the Twelve South AirFly Pro was an absolute game-changer. This device made the long journey so much more comfortable by allowing me to use my wireless headphones with the in-flight entertainment system. It was incredibly easy to set up—just plug it into the 3.5 mm jack, pair your headphones, and you’re good to go.
The sound quality was excellent, with no noticeable lag or connection issues, even when using two pairs of AirPods simultaneously. It was great to be able to share a movie with my travel companion without any wires getting in the way.
The battery life is impressive as well, easily lasting through the entire flight with some charge to spare. It’s compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around and use in various settings, not just on airplanes.
If you travel frequently or just want the convenience of using your wireless headphones with any device that has a 3.5 mm jack, the AirFly Pro is a must-have. It made my long flight much more enjoyable, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Love it no more wires to connect
UPDATE Mar 2025: I wanted to try AirFly with an MP3 audio book device. See photo. I guessed if the 3.5mm jack would plug into MP3 player it would work just like when plugged into back of airplane seat to watch movie. Yes, it worked. See photo how to recharge with one's PC. BTW: I had 75% charge on AirFly and listened to audio for an hour and still had 75% charge left. Sweet. Next test will be the exercise equipment at gym. The machines have audio connection to built-in TVs usually connected with wired ear buds. Also some machines pick up TVs on wall also using wired ear buds USUALLY. Let's try. INITIAL REVIEW: After I figured that one links this device to your ear buds and not your phone I was good to go. Instructions provided are for Apple AirPods but I had different brand ear plugs. First step is get AirFly fully charged and instructions provided tell you how to check charge level. Turn off any device already connected to your ear buds. See photos. Next for non-Apple brand earplugs turn on the AirFly and remove the earbuds from their carrying case. Hold buds close to AirFly. The buds should go into pairing mode with AirFly after a few seconds. I got AirFly to replace cumbersome over the ear noise cancellation head phones. See comparison photo with head phones next to AirFly. Less is so much better. The headphones came with two cables; one to charge the headphones and the other to plug into device such as movies on airplanes. AirFly has one small cable to for charging. To plug into movie jack on back of seat the short cable jack does it all. The AirFly worked just great on two long distance airline trips. No more cable between my head and back of seat to get all tangled up when getting in/out of seat. My ear buds provide a degree of noise cancellation, not as good as over the ear headphones. But after plane ride I don't have bulky headphones to carry around for rest of vacation.
