I purchased "Strawberry" flavor toothpaste after buying and loving Tom's of Maine "Orange mango". I expected that this flavor will be as true to its name in taste as Orange mango was to its. However, this is not so. This toothpaste has a flavor of bubblegum. It is not unpleasant, not too sweet, however not strawberry. I don't like mint flavors in anything, so I have been very pleased to discover non-minty flavors of Tom's of Maine. This toothpaste has fluoride which fight cavities and it whitens with silicas. The Bubble gum flavor is okay: it is not too sweet but I would not call it refreshing. Despite its name this toothpaste is suitable to adults, as it is not too sweet. The flavor does not linger when you are done brushing. It leaves a slightly chalky aftertaste which does not last long. This toothpaste does not foam. By comparison Orange Mango foams a little however less than a regular toothpaste like Colgate. Orange Mango felt refreshing and you could feel the flavor for a few minutes after brushing. Attached is a photo of the Silly Strawberry on the toothbrush so you can see the actual toothpaste color and texture. The second photo shows that the toothpaste arrived sealed, which is very nice so it will keep longer. I also liked the fact that I could keep the tube standing on its cover, so gravity keeps the toothpaste at the opening and it takes up less room on the bathroom counter. I have to say that I liked Orange Mango more in both respects of flavor and foaming. I will finish the three tubes of Strawberry I received in this order, but I will not be buying this flavor again.     Excellent toothpaste. Good formula, good flavor and quality, robust and convenient packaging. I would not let my kid soak it in water but there is hardly any other toothpaste that can withstand such an abuse. So, it is not a minus, just a comment.

    My kid is very picky when it comes to toothpastes. He fell in love with his "baby" strawberry toothpaste but grew out of it. And he just did not want to switch to anything else — either the texture "was not right", the flavor was "yucky", etc.. In utter desperation I tried Tom's of Maine Anticavity Fluoride Children's Toothpaste and it worked!

    IMO, it is a very personal thing, especially when it comes to kids and flavors. Some hate the taste of "orange", others hate "strawberries" and oftentimes you cannot tell what will actually work until you try. The acceptance of the toothpaste was important to me because it made the training a bit easier but I also paid attention to the formula. In our case fluoride-free toothpastes just did not work. And we had to go for something safe and relatively strong. Btw., the packaging is also good — sealed from the factory making it easier to preserve the toothpaste in the storage and it is easy to squeeze by the kid.

However, it was one of only two toothpastes on my approved list for people with allergies to toothpaste. The other toothpaste listed was about twice as expensive and this one is quite satisfactory. The name, Silly Strawberry, is a mystery to me as it has no taste and is between a gray and tan color, not pink or red. Maybe that's why they call it Silly Strawberry. It works well and has no negative issues for me. It comes with or without fluoride.

    only toothpaste our daughter will use! Thank goodness for a non-minty, not overly sweet toothpaste that our child can tolerate. I will say she is 6.5 yrs old and hasn't had a single cavity, which has been amazing. Yes, she has decent genetics here for strong teeth, but the best genetics are only half the picture - you really need good toothpaste to help protect your teeth. WE are really pleased with this and will continue to use it for quite some time as we don't see her learning to like mint any time soon! our daughter likes silly strawberry the best, and frutilicious is a close second. She does not like the mango flavor much.

    I never tried the old the flavor, but I swapped to this one after I could no longer take Crest and Tollgate anymore due to the burn of my tongue and tongue sensitivity. This version doesn't burn and the flavor isn't bad, it's tolerable, but if defiantly has the chalky layer on your tongue like the film after eating boxed cereal or taking chewable antacids. It doesn't last long but it's not that refreshing feel the big brands offer.

    I noticed this one tends to make me salivate more then the minty big brands which could be the fluoride amount. I have to spit 2x more during brushing then normal, but Fluoride rinses at the dentist have me spitting several times before I even get o my car, so take that as maybe a personal medical condition so take it with a grain of salt if you don't foam at the dentist on the way out after a fluoride gargle.

    I use this as my toothpaste as well as my sons toothpaste. Great strawberry taste a major change from all that minty stuff I really cant stand. I just rinse with a fluoridated mouthrinse as well instead of the other non-fluoridated one. My son is one and he isn't a big fan of the popular bubble gum flavors they have mainly for kids, he fought with me and the toothbrush when I used the crest bubble gum flavor but I like that this natural, minimum ingredients, and still gets the job done with out the fight because he loves the flavor. I only smear it like on the corner of his brush since it is fluoridated and he is very young but has alot of his teeth already and plus our water is also fluoridated. But even that little smear gets a smile on his face and he is actually eager to do some brushing of his own!!

    We've been using this for about 7 years on our kids, ever since they were able to brush with a toothpaste. They brush (without protest) and floss daily, and I'm happy to report we haven't had any toothaches or a single cavity yet!

    My kids love it, that's about all you need to know. I had to use it once out of necessity, at which point, I realized that strawberries are made for eating, not brushing your teeth. We've tried other toothpastes with our kids, but they always go back to Tom's Strawberry toothpaste.

    Assume it really is all-natural, I love that my kids enjoy brushing with Tom's so much. Tom's offers both with and without fluoride. Also, the toothpaste doesn't foam up too much, so it keeps everything relatively clean when the kids are brushing by themselves.

    My son loves this and I love the feeling that he is brushing with good toothpaste. It's a real shame that this is not available in the UK, so I ship from USA which goes against my Eco-concience ... at least I can ship 3 packs at a time.
