The remote has four simple functions, speed ± and start/stop. The display constantly shows speed and time, the last indicator fluctuatea between calories and distance. The screen actually looks a lot better in person than the pics. It comes with a spare remote battery and two little bottles of oil to maintain the belt. First use and I'm loving it so far. It's extremely basic, but that's what I wanted. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this might not be for you. It's a little heavier than I expected, but still not heavy - it feels sturdy. The wheels make it easy to manage. Balancing on it feels a little awkward at first since it's so narrow, my foot has hit the side of the belt a couple of times in my first hour - probably not all that safe for kids or pets unsupervised, but at this speed, I doubt it'll cause much harm. I'll update this if anything changes. If I haven't updated, assume I recommend it.
