Excellent cutting boards...
We needed some fresh cutting boards. I saw these and tried them out - here's what I like: - These cutting boards are gorgeous, and they come with a stand so their beauty can be shared. - They are all really thick which will allow them to resist splitting. The largest board is the thickest at 3/4 inch thick. The others are just slightly thinner. - They're heavy, but the weight helps keep them in place while cutting, even on smooth countertops. - The size of the boards provides a lot of space to work on. - They have a great feel and sound when you're working with them. - They wash off and rinse easily. Just go over them lightly with a towel to get the heavy moisture off and place back into the stand to let them dry completely. Some comments... - They aren't dishwasher safe - they should be handwashed with light amounts of dish soap, rinsed and dried. - There is no mention of pre-oiling them before use - they don't need it. As they do get used though, some light sanding and oiling (olive or vegetable oil) will keep them looking like new. - They are pricey. Overall, these cutting boards are very nice. They are supremely functional and when not being used to help prepare meals, they provide a gorgeous accessory to any kitchen.
