- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2023Color: FlameVerified PurchaseI recently purchased the Le Creuset Classic Handle, 9", Flame Enameled Cast Iron Skillet and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The skillet is made of high-quality cast iron and is coated with a beautiful flame enamel finish. The enamel coating is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it also makes it easy to clean and maintain.
One of the things I love about this skillet is the classic handle design. It's easy to grip and the skillet is easy to maneuver, even when it's hot. The skillet also has a wide base and sloped sides, which makes it perfect for sautéing, frying, and searing.
I've used this skillet to cook a variety of dishes, from eggs to steaks to vegetables, and everything comes out perfectly cooked. The cast iron heats evenly and retains heat well, which ensures that my food is cooked to perfection every time. The skillet is also oven safe, which makes it perfect for finishing dishes or keeping them warm.
Another great feature of this skillet is that it is versatile, it can be used on all stovetop, including induction and it is also suitable for the oven, grill, and broiler.
Overall, I highly recommend the Le Creuset Classic Handle, 9", Flame Enameled Cast Iron Skillet to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile, and easy-to-clean skillet. It's a great investment piece that will last for years to come and will make cooking a pleasure.

Update 11/2/23 - I am still enjoying the pan and I cook mostly eggs and beans in it. I’ve noticed that food taste better with this pan vs. my Teflon pans. Eggs for example, is a lot more flavorful. I do not use a lot of butter and food sticks slightly, but I’ve figured out how to clean the pan properly: add hot water to the pan after cooking, soak for a few minutes, then gently scrape off the stuck bits with a wooden spoon. You can also use a scrub brush. Wipe dry after. Simple care!
This is my first Le Creuset cookware piece and I am thinking of buying the signature cerise saucepan as my second piece.
I am writing this review right after I cooked eggs. I am a novice to cast iron, and this is my first enamel cast iron purchase. Maybe it was silly to buy such an expensive pan for my first cast iron use, but I know this brand has an amazing reputation. Before I purchased this pan, I read the reviews on here, read articles, and watched YouTube videos on how to use. I’m glad I did, because as you can see from the pics and video I posted, nothing stuck to the pan. Thank you reviewers! Preheat on low heat (6 on stove) with oil or butter for about 3 mins. Since the pan retains heat well, continue cooking on low. If I (a novice) was able to cook something in this pan the first time without any sticking, so can you! The pan is surprisingly heavy, so please be careful when lifting because you can easily hurt your wrists. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and I can’t wait to cook other dishes in this stunning pan!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2025Color: CeriseVerified Purchasemy wife loves cast-iron pans, but we can’t use them on the glass cooktops. She also likes to cook at high temperature and has gone through numerous nonstick pans. This enamel cast-iron pan is perfect for her and is holding up really well. The enamel bottom is not bad for the glass cooktop and she cooks at high temperature without ruining the nonstick surface.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024Color: MarseilleVerified PurchaseThis skillet is excellent quality and easy to use. It is perfect for cooking burgers, eggs, or a well-seared steak. The enameled cast iron delivers superior heat distribution and retention, and the black satin interior enamel develops a patina over time to enhance cooking performance. The skillet is durable and easy to clean, with an enamel coating that resists chips and cracks. The pour spouts on either side make it easy to pour out liquids, and the helper handle provides stability and control. Overall, I would highly recommend this skillet to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile, and durable option for their kitchen.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2024Color: WhiteVerified PurchaseLove my cast iron pan!
The heat distribution is fantastic!
So far I’ve cooked eggs and pork chops, steaks, and I have not had to preseason the pan. Another thing I want to add is it cooks the food evenly!
I like to add a little oil in the pan per my preference when cooking my meals just to make sure nothing sticks.
The pan is a little heavy, which is typical for cast iron. It feels very sturdy. Cleanup has been very easy, I just rinse it with water.
Overall the pan has been great, the only downfall is I didn’t realize how small it is.
I rated it 4 stars due to the fact that I expected it to be bigger then it is, but it does the job and it came it great condition so i decided to keep it.
It works for a couple people making small meals, but I do not recommend if feeding for families or guests.
So if you live alone or feeding 2 people then this size is perfect for your needs.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2025Color: MarseilleVerified PurchaseI've never had good luck with regular cast iron pans but enameled cast iron is a real joy to use and to get a beautiful pan like this for $90 is a steal!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2023Color: CeriseVerified PurchaseIs a great pan, the first time I used I didn’t hear enough so eggs stick a little, the second time very smooth. Somehow the food tastes so much better. I was at first concern with the size because is on smaller end but end up liking it, it small but perfect to cook things individually vs smashing all together what I was doing with large pans. Cleaning is very easy, I use a regular sponge and salt for now.
The cons: somehow it doesn’t look perfect, the layers are uneven, small imperfections!
Pros it looks gorgeous on the stove and fun things to use/own
