Fantastic versatile backpack
5 out of 5 stars
Fantastic versatile backpack
This backpack is just WOW. It comes in 4 or 5 sizes and I chose a middle size at 19 inches. It's huge. The largest size would easily be a carry on for more than a weekend. The 19 inch is plenty big enough for a 3 or 4 day getaway. The straps are well padded, and it has a nice padded handle for lifting. The electronics compartment is well padded and the full length of the backpack with 2 compartments. Will fit a big laptop and larger size tablet as well as cords/chargers/mouse easily with plenty of protection. Lots of zipper compartments on the exterior and has side buckles to cinch it smaller.Comes with a shoe bag, a mesh bag and a plastic toiletry bag. Really roomy main compartment with a criss cross strap. Love the green color. Can't go wrong with this backpack, whatever size you need.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Upon first glance, this travel backpack commands attention with its sheer size. It's undeniably the largest carry-on backpack I've ever encountered, promising a cavernous capacity that seems almost excessive. But as I delved deeper into its features, I began to appreciate the thoughtful design and multitude of functionalities it offers.

The backpack boasts an impressive array of pockets and compartments that cater to every conceivable storage need. From a dedicated laptop sleeve with plush padding to multiple zippered pockets for toiletries, chargers, and other essentials, it seems there's a place for everything. The main compartment is vast, easily accommodating a week's worth of clothing and gear. The inclusion of several mesh pockets adds to the organizational prowess, keeping smaller items within easy reach and preventing them from getting lost in the depths of the bag.

The exterior feels it may be made of nylon or some type of man-made fabric - I looked all over the Amazon page as well as the company’s website - and couldn’t find what the material is. The stitching is well done with no loose ends or uneven lines - and there is even double stitching where needed. It’s not a rugged canvas material and I wonder if it will hold up under the rough conditions that bags are subjected to by airlines or even normal travel usage.

The abundance of compression straps not only keeps the contents secure but also contributes to the overall robustness of the bag. Unfortunately, it does not have a sternum strap but it does have a waist strap. A small card that is included, however, says it has an “anti-gravity system” that “acts like a suspension system” to alleviate pressure on the body and make the bag feel lighter.

Versatility is a key strength of this backpack. It can be comfortably worn on the back thanks to the LARGE well-padded, adjustable shoulder straps and supportive back panel. Alternatively, the backpack can be transformed into a suitcase by stowing away the shoulder straps and utilizing the sturdy top and side handles. Veteran traveler, Rick Steves, says he never takes checked-in luggage on his multi-week journeys but only a backpack (he washes clothes in a sink) - if you use this backpack you can probably carry enough clothes for a week so you won’t have to do any sink washing.

The addition of packing cubes in various sizes is a welcome bonus. These cubes help to compartmentalize belongings and maximize space within the main compartment. The backpack also features straps that allow it to be securely attached to a rolling suitcase, making it a breeze to navigate through airports and train stations.

Recognizing the importance of electronics in modern travel, the backpack incorporates padded compartments to safeguard laptops, tablets, and other delicate devices. These compartments offer peace of mind, knowing that your valuable gadgets are protected from bumps and knocks.

Considering the multitude of features, thoughtful design, and apparent durability, this backpack offers exceptional value for money, IMHO. It's certainly competitively priced compared to similar-sized backpacks on the market, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.

If you're a frequent traveler who values organization, versatility, and durability, this backpack could be your ideal companion. Its massive capacity and thoughtful features make it a standout choice for extended trips or adventures where you need to carry a lot of gear. However, it's important to consider the size and weight of the backpack when fully loaded, as it may not be suitable for everyone or every trip. Also, the durability of the external material has yet to be tested. However, if you're confident that you need a backpack this capacious, it might just be the best travel backpack you'll ever own.

Size: 19 InchColor: GreenAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Others have lauded this product with video reviews and otherwise. And this pack is deserving of all of that praise. It is beautifully constructed, well-designed, and well-made. It has excellent fabric and double stitching where it is warranted. It has pockets hidden within pockets... and in that way, it's actually exciting to see "what did they come up with next." I find it attractive, stylish, and classy ... yet casual-cool. We got the large 19" green ... which, to our tastes, is a beautifully muted, classy hue.

Again, the other reviews are on target. This is a well-made, well-designed travel (as in a commuter and short-term travel bag for planes, trains, busses, and automobiles.

CAVEAT: All that said, I'm a backpacker. My family has about 15 packs all of which are high-end backpacking packs... the sort used for rugged off-road travel climbing stuff over 20 miles. By comparison, this is more of a high-end sedan... it's built for convenience and performance but not rugged stuff. So, my review will be a bit jaundiced in this bag, which is unique in our home that is filled with packs (although we do own both roll-ons suitcases and some bookbags).

From a general design perspective, this is basically a turbo-charged book bag. Yet, it’s also a backpacker version of a roll-on suitcase. It's two bags in one. It’s a bizarre and convincing merger of those two urban traveler styles. I confess to finding the amalgamation to be persuasive and compelling.

It is cleverly designed. As a book bag, it has room for computers (plural) and all the stuff one takes to work. You access it like any such book bag with the zippers up the sides and over the top to access from above. As a roll-on that you carry on your back, it has a clear toiletry bag, slipper/shoe bag, garment straps etc. You access this part as you would a roll-on. By placing the pack flat down on the bed, it opens in a big D-shaped zipper such that the top flips open to provide unfettered access from above the bag into the roll-on half of the bag.

It's a chimera bag in these respects—two bags in one. I’m guessing this is about a 25-liter bag once fully stuffed (despite its small face dimensions).

However, over the years, owning (as a family) over 15 high-end backpacking packs, I’ve become accustomed (spoiled by) the off-roading capabilities of those far more expensive hiking bags. I’ve become accustomed to fully adjustable shoulder straps, whereas this one adjusts like a typical bookbag – with just a simple pull-tightener at the bottom (near your hip). I’ve grown accustomed (dependent upon) a belt strap to take the weight off my shoulders (and place the bag's weight on my hips). This pack has no such strap. I’m accustomed to packs that are huge in capacity but ultra light with great spacing and breathability between my back and the pack. By contrast, this is just a book bag.

So, if you intend to stuff this full of slippers and shirts and socks and maybe a light laptop and basic toiletries, etc. etc., and keep the weight below, say, 15 lbs, you’ll be fine. But, if you want to load this thing up with heavier weights (and the bag has the space to accommodate that), you’ll be missing out on all those higher-end comfort/functionality features designed, as a matter of course, into the high-end hiker's backpacks. NOTE: I’m not dissing this pack… just making sure no one buys this pack, hoping it's another.

All that said, for the bizarre but convincing design innovation of mixing a really nice book bag with a really nice roll-on style suitcase, this pack really hits a homerun.

So, in summary, if you want to move in style with a comfortable pack that sort of does it all for the typical urban traveler/commuter; if you want to essentially carry your roll-on comfortably on your back to be more quick and nimble, if you want to essentially carry your book bag on a week-long trip to the in-laws, this may be your new favorite bag.

Last thought: I've been ping-ponging between 5 and 4 stars because of the lack of a belt strap. That really affects just how heavily you can comfortably pack this pack. It would be easy for them to install. But, when I look at the stitching on the pack (at the weight-pressure points), I do see double stitching (good) but I would expect to see even beefier stitching if it was really meant to carry more weight. So, I'll keep it at 5 stars for now... but note this is likely not a pack to fill to the brim with weight.... it's more for more casual packing.

    I hope this helps.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
On initially opening this backpack, I was quite surprised. It is at approximately a third heavier than the one that I had been using for the past couple of years., though it is almost identical in size. That bodes very well for the construction of this backpack. It is a heavy durably constructed backpack. I love getting things that seem to be above average as they tend to give a longer service life.

The next thing I notice is the sheer number of compartments within the backpack. It has a lot of room, and I love how strategically it is laid out. Beautifully and strategically designed to accommodate a lot. And, I do mean a lot! The fabric itself seems as though it will stand up to years of good service. A bag like this is an investment that seems as though it is designed to be used for years. The zippers, another area of concern for many bags seem to be of a durable heavy-duty construction. Again, the kind of thing that one should look for in a quality bag that one hopes to have last for many years.

Given the weight and the durable construction of this LOVEVOOK Travel Backpack, I am convinced that it is a well-constructed backpack that should very likely provide years of dependable service. My highest of recommendations! This is QUALITY!
