I love this turtleneck. It contours the body in a flattering way, but is stretchy enough to provide a lot of give without feeling constraining. The texture is soft, not scratchy. I am pretty short (5 ft.) and I bought a small. I liked the proportions of the sweater and it hit at a good point on my hips (just a little lower than on the model). The sleeves are much longer on me than they are on the model by about 6 inches. However, I tend to like my sleeves a little on the longer side. If you don't want to wear the sleeves long, the sweater construction allows you to fold up the bottom part of the sleeve and look like a natural part of the design. Aside from the sleeve length, the sweater mostly fits like it does on the model in the picture.
The fabric has more heft to it than many ribbed turtlenecks. This is not a lightweight turtleneck. It's kind of like a cross between a stretchy turtleneck and a heavier sweater, but it's super comfortable while looking super classic. For those who are pet owners, the black doesn't tend to attract as much lint as it could. It does catch my stray hairs, but it doesn't seem to be picking up any dog fur or other fuzzy objects I come into contact with.
