I'm hoping this will be a fun addition to my set of games at my coffee & sweets shop. There are a lot of interesting questions to make you think and have fun playing. This is a very small game in terms of space that it takes. The box with 200 cards literally easily fits in my hand and that's all the space you really need to play. Each card has a question on the front and the back, then also a "this or that" option on front and back as well. So there are 400 questions to get you talking and thinking, and 400 "which of the two would you prefer" type questions for quick answers - but possibly deeper thoughts, never know. These would work excellent as a travel game in the car as well. The cards are a stiff card stock. They are also quite small, but they are easy to read. The black print in a standard block font on a light blue background for the question and white on a darker pink background for the this or that are both contrasty and big enough to easily read. Why they have one card with "Start" on it, I'm not sure. There isn't any reason that should necessarily be the first question you ask and it's not likely it will stay in the front of the pack long, but it's not a gimmick worth complaining about.

My best friend of 10 years and I love to go through these types of cards. We're loving this deck so far!

These cards are small and I’m good quality. There are questions I’m outside of the card as well as a charades or taboo type words on the sides. It feels like it’s trying to do a little too much. The questions are relatively good although some seems strange ask your best friend as you should know the answers.

Actually use this with my children and modified a number of them to fit. They were good questions, and I thought starters with the kids and we had fun answering some of them. I really like to see if we started a band. What would we each do as the kids had fun coming up with that answer.

So the first thing that struck me when I received this is how SMALL it is. I do not have the biggest hands in the world, and I can almost completely envelop the box. It would sit easily in a car's little mid-compartment or an old school lunch box, and a six year old could easily lug it around one-handed.

Despite that fact, the prompts for the "main game" of conversation are large enough that even people with glasses won't have a hard time with it. The secondary game, which is basically a "which is better" game that is prompted along the card's edges, it a bit more difficult to read (though still not bad) and it isn't really intuitive at first glance. They put 1s and 2s next to the choices, I guess for ease of reference. For example, a card says fruits with a 1 next to it on one edge and vegetables with a 2 next to it on the other edge, and I guess you're supposed to say you like option 1 or 2 better. At first I thought they were points for keeping score, but there's no actual game to the game, it really is just about spurring conversation.

Now, the conversations themselves are pretty broad range compared to some of the other more expensive products of its type out there. A certain other card company like this, which shall remain nameless, charges about 40% more for a similar product and has a lot of replication in the their prompts. These are genuinely very different and fairly intriguing. Examples:

      1) How much ego is too much? Whose ego makes it hard to handle them?
      2) Which fictional character do you think we could be really good friends with?
      3) When do you put on a façade and hide your true self?

The questions are a tad more personal than other products, and really do lean on the idea that the person you're playing with is someone whom you are very close to.

One last thing worth mentioning, they have this really neat yellow card that comes in it that can be folded in half with the word "Unasked" in big letters; this is intended to let you pick up where you left off and actually tackle the cards in order. It's a unique little perk and really useful, even if you're like us and like to skip around in the box, because you can just make sure at the end that your "used" cards go to one side.

Overall, very much worth the price.

Some things I genuinely enjoy about this product include its small size, the double-sided & dual-nature of the cards, the volume of content for the list price of $17 (about 800 interactions, which is on par with certain journaling experiences), and the fact that some inquiries are unique to this deck/actually pertain to friendships. Additionally, the grammar seems well regarded throughout the cards.

Beyond those things, I'm not over-the-moon for what this is. Because so many journals already offer (in some cases) thousands of additional prompts for the same price, this product sees you paying a definite premium for the convenience of questions in card-form. These questions are things you've seen elsewhere if you've done any journaling, or handled question cards before. A number of the prompts (especially among the "This OR That" cards) are repeated from one deck to the next (EX: Rap OR Rock can be found in this deck, as well as the "Co-Workers" deck). The copy/paste happening here is so blatantly obvious here that you'll find "400 Prompts to Ask Co-Workers" in the first product photo here, on the side of a box for a "Best Friends" deck. Also, while the cards themselves function in clear fashion, the box is entirely too busy. The majority of these questions don't pertain directly to friendships. And, lastly, there are no winners or losers, objectives, strategies to be employed, etc. here. So calling this a game is quite a stretch.

Still, I've seen this sort of unoriginal, evergreen type of cash-grab done in horrible fashion by way of comparison to this one. Therefore, as long as you're seeing it on sale, have no other question cards or journals, and know repetition awaits should you buy more of the products in this line, then I'd say give them a shot.
