Last forever!!
The picture above is of my Sorel Caribou's that I purchased in 1992. During the Winter in Utah, I wore them nearly everyday while attending college walking around the campus when there was snow. I have continued to wear them each winter. The only thing I have replaced are the laces. You can see that the tread is still good and slightly worn after over 30 years. I bought a new pair for my daughter and know they will last her for the rest of her life. Easy to clean, I recommend a leather protectant for the upper shaft.

    I bought these boots for a trip to Fairbanks, Alaska in the end of February. This was my third try to find a pair of boots that would keep my feet warm in sub-zero temperatures while standing outside watching the Arora Borealis in the middle of the night. These boots are the best; with a roomy toe box that allowed me to wear 3 pair of socks without cramping my feet and I was warm and dry for the whole trip. I was concerned, at first because they are so heavy and roomy, but they never hindered me when I walked around in the snow at the International Ice Carving Championships, and they were comfortable with just one pair of thick socks (during the day). I highly recommend these boots in the cold and snow!

    The Sorel Women’s Caribou Boots that I ordered from Amazon.com have turned out to be an excellent product that I’ve been very satisfied with. I ordered these boots in November and have been wearing them all winter. They have worked out extremely well for me, especially with all of the snow.
    These boots would be ideal for you if you are someone who lives in a location that has snowy winters, and has a need for boots to protect their feet while walking on snow or ice. These boots are extremely warm and do an excellent job of protecting your feet in extremely cold temperatures. They are water resistant and insulated, so they are the perfect winter boots to keep your feet warm and dry. Although the insulation make the boots a little heavier that regular uninsulated boots, they are still extremely manageable. The little bit of extra weight in the boots is worth the extra protection and warmth that your feet will get. They have significant traction on their soles that will prevent you from slipping or losing your balance when walking on ice or snow. Compared to most other boots, the Sorel Caribou boots do a much better job at providing traction on slippery surfaces. The boots are also a neutral color and are therefore very versatile for your wardrobe. Not only are they extremely functional, but the Sorel boots are stylish as well. They would make a great addition to your wardrobe as both an attractive pair of boots and practical winter footwear.

    These boots are awesome! I researched and read reviews and decided on these. I'm active but of petite build in my late 60's with osteoporosis. This, coupled with coming from flat-land to mountains a few years ago made me a very cautious buyer. I read these are heavy, they are not. I read they were cumbersome to walk in. Again, I do not find that at all the case. They are as comfortable as my regular unlined duck boots but WAY better traction and not once have my feet gotten cold even as we've dipped below freezing. I love these boots and highly recommend them.

    These boots are so heavy that they make you tired just wearing them. My ankles would ache after a day in these boots. They are extremely warm and waterproof and the soles are comfortable, but really, so so heavy. If you have stronger ankles than me, these could work for you.

    Ich habe mir die Stiefel gekauft, weil ich über Winter täglich 7 - 9 Stunden bei einem Skilift tätig war und dabei den ganzen Tag im Freien. Alle anderen Stiefel, die ich ausprobiert hatte, waren schlicht zu kalt. Die Caribou habe ich mir wegen dem Versprechen, bis -40 Grad Celsius noch warm zu halten.
    Der erste Eindruck nach dem Anprobieren war: Sie sind bequemer, als sie von außen wirken. Zum Glück hatte ich sie mir eine halbe Größe KLEINER bestellt, da sie sehr groß ausfallen. Normalerweise trage ich Größe 38. In 37,5 kann ich sehr dicke Socken problemlos tragen und habe immer noch (etwas zu viel) Luft. Größe 37 wäre wohl perfekt gewesen.
    Ich habe sie unter extremen Bedingungen getestet, denn ich musste die gesamte Arbeitszeit stehen und das bei Minustemperaturen von bis zu minus 18 Grad Celsius.
    Die Stiefel halten recht gut warm, sobald man sich bewegt, werden die Füße wieder schön warm. Aber selbst diese Stiefel können über Stunden hinweg nicht die Eiseskälte abhalten, auch in ihnen fangen die Zehen irgendwann (aber erst nach 3 - 4 Stunden!) an zu frieren.
    Obwohl sie recht klobig wirken, kann man sie auch zum Spazierengehen verwenden.

    Fazit: Tolle Stiefel, ihren Preis wert, halten sehr gut warm und sind überraschend bequem, aber fallen deutlich größer aus!
