I wanted a drum small enough to carry with me but also one with a lot of notes! This one is perfect and even came with a carrying-case!
Calming effect:
The sound quality of each note is absolutely soothing. I teach (and practice) self-care that includes soothing sounds: music, chimes, singing bowls, an ocean drum and now - the steel tongue drum. Even as I learn how to play specific 'songs' I am practicing different combinations of notes, rhythms and striking intensity to become familiar how the softness or hardness of the mallet striking the drum affects me. I literally have enjoyed this amazing drum EVERYDAY since its delivery!
Portable:
I am looking forward to carrying this with me for a series of wellness retreats I have contracts to facilitate. I LOVE that it is lightweight (unlike my set of crystal singing bowls) and that it came with a great carrying case! I have used it in various rooms in my home and intend to use it in two workout studios that I have (one is indoors, the other is a outdoor sunroom/porch).

Beautiful Steel Tongue drum
Just received my beautiful steel tongue drum today and I'm so happy! Beautifully handcrafted, comes in a sturdy carrying case also well crafted. I bought the green one, all in all I'm totally satisfied and looking forward to learning how to play my drum (my first time owning one). Hope the video came out good lol I need to read the instructions in the included booklet to learn to play, tune and enjoy my new instrument. My package came on time and my delivery driver was so sweet. Thanks Amazon.

This was one of my best purchases with my adult money. I've wanted a tongue drum for years and this is a great instrument. It came 2 days earlier than expected and in perfect condition. It was a nice carry bag, mallets and finger mallets, replacement stickers and a book of songs (good songs you'll actually know and play). The tuning is good.
