Excited to begin!
Received the book today, so I can't provide much detail. I am however excited to begin this with my teenage girls (13). Briefly reading through the first "Quest" it seems very attainable for a teen/ beginner. Individual lessons and activities that build upon each other and encouraged to practice frequently before moving on. It seems to thoroughly explain the internal dialog we experience and explains the reasons behind why the exercises are helpful, which is very important for context. The free bonuses are a wonderful bonus, I'm looking forward to printing pages off so the girls can practice the exercises many times before movong on. Also great to have a tangible book option as well as an ebook option. The parent guide looks very beneficial as well. Im Looking forward to introducing my girls to it and helping them build skills that will last a lifetime.

This book has been SO HELPFUL in working with a few of my teens (I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist). The style of the Missions and Quests for delivery of the techniques I'm having them practice makes it all more fun, and I've faced less resistance and improved engagement! I would definitely recommend!!!

I absolutely love this book. As a mental health provider, I have used DBT with many different clients and this book has many worksheets and skills adapted to better meet teens where they are which is amazing. I also have the .pdf from the author that is in color and it just looks better in color than it does in B&W. I really wish the book was printed in color too. It would just elevate the experience for individuals going through it. All in all, this is a very minor gripe and I would still wholeheartedly recommend this book for practicitioners that work with teens.

I bought this for my daughter. She won’t use it. She says the language they use isn’t relatable for her age group and it’s not really like a workbook.

This an incredibly interesting book, in a unique way. It doesn't JUST teach the coping and mindfulness skills, but it ALSO has specific exercises designed to help someone internalize and integrate those skills. I found that the exercises helped me realize fascinating things about myself that I didn't know. FOR EXAMPLE: there is this one exercise that I found really fun to do that involved around time perception. It had me close eyes for a time-span for what I THINK would be one minute. When I opened my eyes after I thought one minute passed, I was then able to see how my perception of time passing was DIFFERENT than the reality of time passing. The other exercise that I found to be interesting and insightful was one where I was encouraged to track how one thought LEADS TO ANOTHER THOUGHT (I think it was called a "thought train"). It made me realize that it's important to think positively because it creates a self-reinforcing momentum that becomes stronger with time. These exercises really helped me discover about myself, how my emotions operate, and how my mind works. They were really something special and I enjoyed doing them. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about himself and how to cope with everyday stresses - especially if they often find themselves in challenging situations.

I found this book on line by chance and ordered it on a whim. And I'm so glad I did. I work with a lot of teenagers and this has sosme really great way of explaining about anxiety and stress and how to manage your emotions. It is set out like a workbook with tips and ideas that really appeal to me as an adult. I wonder what a teenager would make of it? Well worth buying. A great resource.

This DBT workbook for teenagers is full of fun activities and excersises which make things much more easier for a teen to work through, without having to sit through pages filled with just writing. I love that the workbook is gamified, and has quests which the teen has to complete to go forward in the book. This gives incentive and inspires teens to propell forwards.
I also love the illustrations and the great explenations for skills. This book is a must have in a DBT collection!!
