The 6-inch skewers looked fabulous on our gluten-free appetizers. We skewered 4 items in 5 different combinations. I'll list them below. We did discover that sometimes the cheese would be left behind on the platter when a guest attempted to pick up an appetizer. This was more of an issue when something on the skewer was slightly saucy and would drip over the cheese, softening the outer edges and slightly suctioning it to the platter. In discussing it, we decided that perhaps the end was too tapered to grip the piece of cheese and that a shorter point on the skewer might help avoid this. Swiss mushroom beef: sauteed red onion; sliced mushrooms cooked in gluten-free brown gravy; rolled deli beef; Swiss cheese Mexican chicken: half of grape tomato; canned jalapeno slice; chicken baked in Mexican flautas seasoning; Colby jack cheese Southern fried chicken: stack of lettuce, pickle slice, chicken piece fried in cornstarch and seasonings, cheddar cheese Honey mustard ham: stack of lettuce, pickle slice, rolled deli ham, cheddar cheese tossed with gluten-free honey mustard dry seasoning Pepperoni pizza: green pepper, half of grape tomato, pepperoni folded into quarters, mozzarella cheese marinated in marinara
