Wow, Kurt Adler 8.5-Inch Capiz Star Tree Topper is stunning! I looked around very hard for one that fit all my requirements, a long list indeed, and this came the closest. It's two-sided, that was near the top of my list and a must. I wanted something larger as I have a 7.5' tree, but once I thought about it decided since my tree is not the "classic" dense style but a more realistic Norwegian style fir that this 8.5" one would be a better fit and I was right! The topper is very well made, unblemished Capiz shells held together as if they were stained glass, and equally nice front and back. There is some weight to it, obviously, but not excessive for any well-made 6' or greater fake tree. If I had a complaint, it would be the incandescent bulbs. I went through a lot of trouble finding LEDs that passed for vintage bulbs, I am old and vintage myself, and would have liked to stick to those. If you have LEDs on your tree as I do you will need to run a separate extension to these in all likelihood unless your LEDs specifically state otherwise. Aside from that, and its not a complaint really, this is a perfect tree topper!

A little smaller than expected
We have a 7ft tree and the star looks a little smaller but it’s still a beautiful star. Has an antique feel to it

This beautiful tree topper brought back memories of my childhood tree toppers. It’s sort of a star and a snowflake. The material is well crafted. Feels very sturdy. And absolutely gorgeous piece to add to my tree!! It is stunning!

Hermosa!!!
La estrella se ve muy elegante y hermosa! Estoy muy contento con la manera que luce. Tiene un muy buen tamaño. Pongo de referencia mi mano que es considerable grande. Aunque es de plástico, ya colocada en el árbol, no lo parece. La base es metálica flexible para asegurarla al árbol correctamente y trae varios focos de repuesto. Sin duda la recomiendo.RoccoHermosa!!!

Der Stern ist wunderschön. Die Größe ist perfekt für einen Weihnachtsbaum ab ca.1,70 Meter.
Der Stern sieht vorn und hinten gleich aus.
Das halbtransparente Material besticht durch seinen silbrigen Glanz.
Leider ist die amerikanische Lichterkette nicht für deutsche Steckdosen geeignet.
Also ein wenig überlegt und dann losgelegt.
Auf der Rückseite kann man die Abdeckung entfernen indem man drei kleine Drähte nach außen biegt. Dann kann man die Lichterkette leicht entfernen. Ich habe mit silbernen Basteldraht eine kleine batteriebetriebene LED-Lichterkette hineingebastelt. Eine normale 10er Kette sollte aber auch funktionieren.
Der Stern sieht auch ohne Licht sehr schön aus, wobei er dann eher silber wirkt - der schöne Goldton von den Bildern kommt erst durch die Lichter.
Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf Weihnachten.
