Growing up in the 90's, I can remember my parents having the go to standard Weber Kettle charcoal grill. They had it forever it seemed so my standards are pretty high when it comes to grills. Now that I own my own place, it was time to make a purchase. Especially now that COVID-19 is keeping us all at home for the foreseeable future.
I chose this grill because it was easily the number one grill in this size category. I will absolutely tell you that this grill is excellent. For one, I can tell this grill was built to last. If you go to your typical store, you'll see shiny aluminum grills that seem attractive, but they'll either rust out, won't distribute heat well, tough to assemble, etc. This grill was easy enough to assemble on my own. I only needed help with one part, but honestly you could do it yourself if you had to but it was just a precaution. The grill came together in a matter of maybe 2-3 hours. The instructions were really good except for Weber including the 210 grill instructions with the 310. If I hadn't done research, I would have not known about the 210 model and it would have thrown me off. I was like "why is this here and where is this bag?" The 210 and 310 are very similar except for the number of burners.
Anyway, the pieces used like the screws were almost a plastic texture or well painted, but I had a hard time finding any spots on the grill that I would have to worry about rusting.
Maybe this is more for a griller, but I'm not sure why I need a foil tray inside of another tray just to capture fat and oil. Why can't I just use the tray itself? Maybe for easier disposal but it seems like I would need to buy more of those eventually.
