    This product works as advertised on your hands, and then some. I read another review on here where they were talking about using it on their armpits after workouts. That was the review that tipped the scales, and I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Amco Rub-A-Way Bar, Stainless Steel. I bought two, one for the kitchen and one for the shower. I have to say that after cooking both my and my wife's hands can get back to their nonfood odorous states. Moreover, after a workout, my pits can do the same. I can walk down the street with a much more confident gait. Sometimes, I will invite strangers to smell my hands and pits, and I always get compliments about how they can only detect my fantastic deodorant rather than a mix of deodorant and musk. Women keep tripping themselves, and each other, wanting some action from this pristine and immaculate example of Adonis incarnate. I have to beat them back with a stick while citing the fact that I am already married and need none of those shenanigans. I highly recommend this product.

      Yes, it actually works. I don't know if it's actually a genuine "chemical reaction" that's neutralizing sulfur compounds, but SOMETHING is happening. The end result is the same - less nasty smells. I've used it for:
      -Fish
      -Onions
      -Garlic
      -B.O.
      -Many other lingering smells you can imagine

      So far, I haven't found anything it hasn't worked on. You can (and should) combine with soap and use it for about 15-30 seconds. The soap makes it so that it doesn't catch your skin or rip out any hair. I'm prone to "sweating out" onion smell when I workout especially. Sometimes it lingers even after a regular shower. This bar fixes that and has made my workout shirts smell better over time. That alone has made it worth it. I also take cissus quadrangularis, a joint support that makes my B.O. smell slightly curry-like. This fixes that as well. Just buy it and see for yourself.

      The one con is that it needs more surface area/topography like the "rub-away" lettering. It's a bit too smooth to really work into your hands/skin/etc. Also, if you keep it in the shower, you'll end up dropping it due to the smoothness at some point.

      Pros: -It works
      -Low-cost
      -Virtually immune to dropping on tile in the shower
      -No rust or sharp edges

      Cons: -Needs more topography for gripping
      -Makes you believe in magic.

      So, here I am, standing shirtless in front of the kitchen sink, rubbing my sweaty armpit with a bar of wet steel and asking myself, "What am I doing?" So, let me think back to when I first purchased this bar.

      The [bar of steel] claims to remove foul odors from your hands, specifically onion and garlic. I was dubious. But, I have seen stranger ideas work, so I performed a blind test. I asked a family member to give a rating of 0 (no smell) to 5 (strongly onion-y) after I rubbed my hands with freshly cut onions and performed one of the following:

      1. No action - Hands rated 5.
      2. Washed with steel bar and water - Hands rated 2. Steel bar rated 4.
      3. Washed with soap and water - Hands rated 0.
      4. Washed with water only - Hands rated 5.
      *The family member was not aware of what technique was used. Fresh onions were used before each test and my hands were gently dabbed dry with a clean towel after each technique.

      Conclusions:
      1. Steel and water seems to transfer the smell of onions to the steel.
      2. Soap and water is more effective on hands and was required to clean the steel bar.
      3. It is simpler and more effective to use soap and water than steel and water...and soap and water.

      Some users mentioned that the steel bar was effective on body odors as well. So, here I am, standing in front of a sink after a delightful day without deodorant or personal hygiene, and preparing to stick my nose into my armpit after rubbing it with a bar of wet steel.
