Theyre extra high rise in case you have a mommy pouch, exactly on the ankles, tight from the thighs and wide going towards the legs. I never right reviews but these were perfect!     I ordered my regular size 27. I have 3 different styles in Levi's and I wear a 27 in all of them, however the 27 was small in this style. I read through all of the reviews and it seems the rec as to whether to size up or down depends on the wash. For reference, I ordered the Dial up the music and I should have sized up one size. I will probably order directly from Levi's so I can get a longer inseam too. I'm 5'6" and while I don't hate the length on me (27" inseam) it could be an inch longer. Fit is similar to the Wedgie Straight, but the rise is about .5 inches higher and the legs aren't tapered at all.
