Emma Bazilian is a design writer, editor, and the content director at FREDERIC magazine and FSCO Media. A former editor at House Beautiful, she is an avid needlepointer and collector of vintage fabrics.

Stephanie Diaz is the art director of FREDERIC magazine and FSCO Media. Prior, she lead the visual team at Schumacher and served as an art editor at Architectural Digest. A lifelong New Yorker, she has art directed two design books: The Authentics and S Is for Style.

    The books is truly amazing, inspiring and so beautiful. It shows the evolution of classical decorating trends and gives great insights into the different ways of integrating it into a home for today. I find it very educating and a great gift for friends who love decorating or are decorators.
    I particular love the chapters on checks and stripes, so of the moment! Same for the chapter on "wicker and rattan" and "Vintage & Antiques" - so beautiful and inspiring.
    It is not a book about mid-century or modern decorating, but I think the title gives that away.

I love Schumacher fabrics and wallpaper, but this book contains the most dreary selections one can think of. If I could send it back, I would.

    I mean this book is by Schumacher...... the leading family on all things fabric and wallpapers. There has never been or will ever be a better fabric house than Schumacher.
