Has arthritic hand friendly quick release lever
My old cheap caulk gun recently died so I got this to replace it. I have found over the years that the quick release lever is the number one feature that is a must-have for a caulk gun. This gun's quick release lever works very well -- my arthritic hands appreciate it. The other features of the gun, tip cutter and seal puncture tool are nice to have. I have never used caulk smoothers before because I just used my fingers but arthritis is making that hard. These smoothers are flexible and, while they need practice to use well, they work just as well as my finger did when I was young. The grout remover tool is a standard hard plastic tool -- nothing special. I haven't gotten the knack of the metal caulking tool. Thrust ratio of 8:1 for use with acrylic, adhesives, asphalt, butyl, and cement. Smooth pressure rod requires less force and is quieter than a ratchet-style pressure rod.
