Plush and absorbant, rich color. I washed them and dried them per instructions, before using them. They washed and dried very well, no fraying, nice fluffy pile. I can't say enough about how well they are made.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't shed when I first used them after showering. I highly recommend these towels. I am planning to replace my guest towels with these when the time comes. It's hard to find quality towels at an affordable price. Some overly pricey towels don't live up to the expectation (like my guest towels I recently purchased). These towels definitely deliver on both quality and value. I'm being wordy because I am so glad to have stumbled on these at a department store and decided to order through Amazon because of the convenience.
