Convenient size, pretty looking but not really fast drying as advertised
This is the first stone dish drying mat I am trying so can’t really compare it to other stone mats but it looks nice and will be definitely used going forward. The mat itself came with lengthy instructions, four rubber feet to attach, piece of sandpaper for maintenance and also it smelled for a bit but it wasn’t too bad. I cleaned it with a dump towel, per instructions, and it picked a lot of dirt from it. I tried it right away after that and discover that is not super fast drying as advertised and it definitely took some time to completely dry. It’s not terrible though, still better than cloth dish drying mat I was using before. Its smaller size works well for me as I do not have much countertop space and it is perfect size to go under my metal dish drainer when I remove it from the sink.

    We have wooden countertops. Often when we need to wash something by hand, we would place a
    towel on the counter as the “drying rack.” This doesn’t work well with wood counters! This drying rack is ideal. It is not bulky or unsightly. It absorbs very well. Even with hard water it doesn’t leave marks and the mat still looks great.

    The Stone Dish Drying Mat has been a wonderful addition to my kitchen! It not only looks elegant but also does an excellent job of absorbing moisture from freshly washed dishes. The mat provides ample space for drying pots, pans, and glassware without the worry of water pooling on my counter.
    If you're looking for a combination of style and utility in your kitchen, I highly recommend this drying mat!

    Smells horrific! It was clearly damp when it was packaged inside of closed-cell Styrofoam and it must have been in the packaging a WHILE! 2 soaks in bleach, 2 straight days in direct Florida sun, and the stench was still so bad that I won't even bring it back in the house.

    These diatomite mats are great. I use this in my bathroom, although it's designed for drying dishes. Step on this with your bare wet feet and the moisture's sucked right off the bottom of your feet. The mat dries in seconds.

    Diatomaceous earth has thousands of tiny pores that take in water, and then the water evaporates on its own; no wiping is necessary. And the air pockets act as insulators, so the mat will feel warm against your skin, even in a cold bathroom. If the mat gets stained or the pores get clogged, it's easily sanded with the supplied sandpaper (or you can use your own sandpaper).

    Once you try it, you'll want to get more, so be forewarned.

    This drying mat is super handy because placing a dishcloth under a row of freshly washed cups or plates that you don't have time to put away can get so soppy and make puddles on your kitchen counter. I recommend this item, because it absorbs so much water and doesn't make a mess.

    I'll admit that this may be me measuring it wrong, but this should have fit my cat's automatic feeder a bit better, but it was a bit smaller than I expected. However, not knocking off a star as it was likely a me error but I mention it to make sure that if you're thinking of this product, make whatever use you have for it, it's bigger than what you need. It still functions and is a very nice platform to keep the feeder on. Unfortunately, I've had ants and am hoping the DE keeps the ants away (it's used as a natural pest barrier, but not sure if it still works in this form). The product is solid and well made and honestly, even if I end up getting a bigger one I'm still keeping this to put under something else because I love it so much!
