My hair is also naturally VERY knot prone and has a tendency to wrap and knot around typical hair ties but these silk hair ties are the total opposite. They do a great job holding my hair in place for extended periods of time but when I wanna take it out, the scrunchies slide right out without causing any breakage. I can’t speak for the life of the scrunchies, as I’ve only been using them for about a week, but so far so good! As of now I’d say they’re definitely worth the money and I’d buy them again
