Before my review, I wish to state I received this item though Amazon Vine. However, I pride myself in my honest, unbiased, and detailed reviews.
I tried 2 or 3 different mushroom products in different forms throughout the years and I have mixed feelings about this one. I thing the taste is reasonable for this kind of product, not too strong, a mix of "earthy" and "green" flavors. The texture is kind of "soft choky" if that makes sense?, not more choky would be expected for a powder mix. The main issue I have with it is it does NOT mix well at all. I have tried both hot and cold water, hand mixing and using a small hand mixer. No matter what I do it quickly forms clumps that are like concrete in the cup, they are hard to even scrub out! I have had similar issues with plant matter mixes before but this seems worse to me. As I am losing so much product when I make it, I can't be sure I am even getting the benefits of the mushrooms. I am can't help but feel this product would be better off delivered in a capsule as I end up losing a good half of the product in the container.
I am gonna try a blender, or mixing into another mix like protein powder. I am also considering I may not be familiar enough with this type of product or "user error", as such i can only doc one star or so, but I can't help but be disappointed at how hard it is to utilize.
