Try different milks
I live on a dairy farm. We use milk fresh from a cow- unpastureized. Fresh milk will not froth much. Almost sent the thing back but after reading about different fat levels in milk decided to try a few others. Store bought whole milk works best but i have used flavored creamer and Oat Juice( I refuse to call it oat milk) lol. My kids love how quick and yummy hot chocolate is and I have used it every day for my coffee. I guess I will have to hide the milk jug as my farmer husband will not be please that I am buy milk when we can have it for free.
