These markers write smoothly. They do bleed a tiny bit on regular paper. They are great for crafts, where you're drawing a picture and putting watercolor over it. They are also great for labeling bags for the freezer, etc. They don't have a very strong odor.

    I've bought bulk office items before with poor results (such as highlighters which crack, bleed, and plain old fall apart rapidly). But I'm impressed at the quality and lifespan of these black permanent markers!
    We haven't hit a dud yet. All the marker tips are moist and effective, and the ink is truly permanent on a variety of surfaces. Great price for a big supply!

    We don't personally go through a lot of permanent markers, but we do use them on occasion. This being a set of 20 for 8.99 was a really good deal! These are shaped, handle, and write just like the name brand. The ink stays on the item like it should, is plenty dark enough, and dries quickly. Very satisfied so far. I've not had them long so I can test to the length of use before the ink runs out. Time will tell.

    I tend to go through permanent markers in this size very quickly, and they do get expensive. These are a great price, and as far as I can tell so far, they're very comparable in quality and performance to the more costly name brand. The ink lays down smooth and flows well. It seems equally permanent on most surfaces compared to the name brand. The odor is similar to others I've used, too - mild, and not bad. I haven't spent a long time with these yet, but I see nothing so far to make me think they're not up to the standards of the pricier equivalent. I'll be back for more in the future.

    Works as good as a Sharpe, but cost less. These markers seem to have a better tip on them than the Sharpe's I have. The tips are more points and firm, I like that. I will be ordering more.

    My kids go through a lot of permanent markers for their art projects. They like to use these to draw the outline of their pictures and color it in with other mediums. These markers work great for that purpose, and cost less than the brand name. They seem to last just as long, as they haven't yet run them dry, despite using them for many projects.

    The only place these fall a bit short compared to sharpie brand is when it comes to slippery surfaces. My daughter has a sticker book with sort of waxy pages which she can write on with a sharpie, but these markers smear and wipe off of that surface. These markers will still write on plastic, as we've used them to label people's drinks without issue, but that was always a short term use. I am not sure that they would be "permanent" on those surfaces if you were looking to label something long-term.

    Wasn't sure what I was getting, since the title stated 20 colors, but they are indeed all black like the photo (what I wanted). They're comparable to that brand name that they resemble, and are actually a lot less stinky and headache inducing than another off-brand version that I got I THINK at a dollar store. They will be perfect for my uses. Would like to have taken them out of the package as needed, but whoever packed the order bent the card, causing the clamshell packaging to separate, spilling all of the markers into the box. No biggie, but I was wondering what I was getting that was rattling around inside the box. It's all good. I won't need black markers for a while!

    This 20 pack of permanent markers by TBC is a good value for the current price of about $16. They are a fine tip marker that is similar to others available. They do have a bit of a smell when you open them up. I tried using them on paper, the cover of a notepad that has a slick coating to it, and a plastic credit card type of material. The paper and notepad cover dried very quickly and did not smear or streak when I ran a wet fingertip over them. The plastic did have just a little bit of fading and streaking when I did the same to it. I tried the test again with the plastic and this time let it dry a little longer and found that it still does streak a little. I then rubbed the plastic very hard and the ink actually disappeared from the plastic. So, as long as you’re careful and don’t rub plastic after writing on it then it should stay but I would not say that the ink is permanent for plastic. For this I took off a star.

    For sharpie type markers, I have always been a name brand type of gal. Lately, though, I haven't been completely satisfied with the performance of the name brand markers, so I decided to try the TBC The Best Crafts Permanent Markers Set. I was pleasantly surprised with these markers. They were juicy, had no offensive strong smell and worked well! It writes on a number of surfaces and seems to stay nicely after the ink dries. My husband took some to his workshop and seems to be just as pleased. If there was a problem, he would definitely have let me know, but instead, he said they worked well. The TBC The Best Crafts Permanent Markers Set look like the others, feel like the others but so far, are working better than the others. Recommended!
