I was looking for a board to serve charcuterie for a small gathering (6). Some of the reviews mentioned that the raw edge was not finished very well and there were splinters or kind of a rough bark situation. So I was a bit concerned, but the size and shape were just what I wanted, and a raw edge, if done right, is lovely. But it arrived looking gorgeous, the raw edge is smooth and nice, but rustic enough to give it a custom sort of look. The colors of the wood create interest and contrast and make it a really pretty piece. It's sturdy and looks like it'll last well if taken care of. Really nice piece for a very nice price.
