I like the ability to velco in and out fast since I have little kids constantly interrupting my workouts. I probably should have gotten the kind for outdoor cycling and walking? At any rate one reviewer said the tongue pushes into their shin ankle. I agree however it is made of a soft almost neoprene material and dosent bother me. I also tried this company in the lace up style with blue laces and the sides of those pinched the outer ankle for me. It looks like I have thick ankles in the photos but I don't really lol just bad angle and trying to flex to show the presure, I have generally narrow feet and have to tighten things a ton to feel snug. I'm a 6.5 in nearly every shoe. I got these in a 7 and wish they had a 6.5. I think it would be spot on, but the 7 (sole has the marking 37) is good for if I'm swollen I guess. The toe is hard to tighten because I need to pull it past the soft Velcro to tighten it enough. You can see my big toe flexing up in the toe box. Also, even though they look identical I could not get the cleets that came with it into my new schwinn IC4. I lossened the pedal spring and everything. My IC4 came with cleets so I tried them onnthis shoe and they worked! Cleets that came with the shoe in the left on my hand, and IC4 cleets pictured on the right, and also installed in the shoe in these pictures.

    I purchased these and they are awesome. True to size I ordered an 8 and I wear a women's 8-8 1/2, they fit great with a pair of low cut socks. The thickness of you sock could affect the overall fit of the shoe. They don't fit super tight but just comfy. 3 Velcro straps for adjusting fit as well as easy on/off. Clips are installed and work perfect at my gym. They come with a little tool to service the clips. Shipping was fast. I have been using them for over a month, 2-3 classes a week and I have noticed a huge difference in my level of training during Spin class, a good shoe makes it so much better. I would recommend these and would definitely purchase again when needed.

    These seem like they will be comfortable indoor cycling shoes, but they run big though. So I’ll be sending them back to get a smaller size. I chose the size of my Shimano shoes, which I love, but can’t afford shimano shoes at the moment. So hopefully, once I get the smaller size, they will be a good fit and a good shoe. So I suggest going a full size or half a size smaller, just to be on the safe side.

    I didn't have any of the negative experiences noted in some of the reviews. The shoes arrived with correct cleats attached and the allen wrench was included. Adjusting them was simple. Everything looks new and nothing is damaged. My shoes clip into my Pelaton bike nicely and disconnect easily.
    Notes on sizing: I think the reason people have different experiences regarding sizing up is because these fit like wide fit shoes. People with wide feet already size up when buying normal width shoes so they won't need to size up as much. People with normal width or narrow feet may need to size up more.
    For instance, when I'm actually able to find shoes I like in wide width, I wear a 7-7.5. In normal width shoes, I wear an 8-8.5. I bought a 9 in these and they fit just right: tight enough with the velcro to not slip off but roomy enough to be comfortable during riding (my toes aren't pressing on anything and there's room for the swelling that can happen while riding).
    I hope that helps more people get the correct size the first time :)
    I recommend these for purchase despite some of the negative experiences described, especially if you have wide feet and/or a Pelaton bike. I wasn't sure how it was gonna go when I decided to get them but I'm really glad I did!

The clip often became stuck on the bike pedal and eventually the clip detached from the shoe altogether. I was able to fix it the first time, but now the clips completely wore off and detached.
