- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2024First of all I was amazed at the good condition of the book considering its age. When I was taking Reading for Elementary when I was in college I remember this little book. It was very popular at most elementary libraries. It won awards. Little did I know, years later my husband and I would name our 2nd daughter Sally. I always wanted to get a copy of that book and read it to her, it was just like her at that age. So this year I decided to do that as part of her Christmas gifts. Funny, after that book came in, she called and told me she went out to walk her dog and there was a bear on the college grounds that was near her house, so she and her GSP went home. In all the places she and her family have lived I don't think she has ever encountered a real live bear. This is going to make her laugh. This book is in great shape. Too bad her boys are all grown up, but they will get a laugh when she shares it with them. This book arrived even quicker than I expected. I am thankful for that.I would use this seller again.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2025As a Mainer, this is a very cute story. I used to go blueberry picking with my mom. In growing up, my mom would read this story with different voices. Brings back memories and makes me nostalgic.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2025Loved this book when I was little and the new one is almost an exact duplicate for the grandkids all these years later.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2024This book was perfect for me to give to my grandson when he was born. My father’s name is Sal (Salvatore). I wrote something to my grandson about his great grandfather & our family. It’s an old story that is very cute and I didn’t care Sal is a girl.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2024Read this to my grandchildren when they were little, still one of my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un libro muy lindo
El libro es de muy buena calidad y la historia es muy tierna. Lo compré para mi hija que cumplirá 6 años. Empezaremos a leerlo juntos y espero que poco a poco ella lo pueda leer sola.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una joya
Recomendable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely book
A lovely book with the charm of the olden days. Lovely illustrations as expected and a good quality paper! Would love to collect more in this genre! I love how this subtlely speaks of how we share resources with other creatures! A lesson we certainly we need to learn and teach the younger ones.
