Deeda lives an opulent, but wonderfully edited life. Her walls are bare and she will tell you that if she can’t afford the paintings she wants she would rather live with nothing. The result is fantastic. #alberthadley would say ‘space is such a luxury, why pollute it’, which seems very applicable. After a dinner at Deeda’s I looked around my apartment and thought to myself I’m a confirmed hoarder in comparison! She serves the best food, and so many of her recipes and resources are shared in this book, as only a truly gracious person would do! Her paddlefish source is a long time favorite of mine. I use it to make her caviar dip recipe that everyone loves. Her book is a visual voyage down a life well lived. She is one of the last great swans that American society has. My hat is off to her, especially given that all the book proceeds will go to the Deeda Blair Research Initiative, as her life has been devoted even more to research than to beauty. I adore this book , the colors Interior styles and reading about Deeda Blair. A most impressive and clever woman.
What an eye she has, at creating such stunning rooms.There is also a selection of recipes with corresponding images.
The images are matte on rather thick paper.Tremendously pretty interiors … so glad I purchased it.
