We used this to clean our toilet tanks, which get crusty due to hard water. It works well for that task. The powder is easier to manage (e.g. strength) than a pre-mixed fluid like vinegar. The citric account acid is mixed with warm water and poured in an empty (inlet water turned off) toilet tank. Flush after a half hour or so and the crusty deposits are gone.

Others may use this for cooking.
