I really want to like this skirt but it is so hard for me to.

I am 5'7" and normally wear an 8/10 in womens pants. The length is good but the elastic waist is tight so if I wear it higher near my belly button the fabric pooches out under the elastic and if I wear it low it is really tight on my stomach and looks weird with the tops I keep putting with it.

The color of the skirt is hard to tell if the design is black or navy blue (honestly it really depends on the lighting) and the white on the skirt is more of an ivory so wearing a white top with it does not work well (I just don't like wearing white and ivory together either) so normally I wear a black top with it because it is supposed to be a black skirt design.

The material is a faux satin like feel so it did make it feel a little nicer than a maxi cotton skirt but I just can not get it to fit right or find the right color top for it yet, but i do still wear it occasionally to church.

Loved the pic online. Ordered it. Never received it! Delivery said they dropped it on front porch - but my instructions say they’re to hand it to me. We have a lot of homeless in the area and I’ve had orders disappear before so the driver is supposed to ring the doorbell and then hand it to me. Most don’t follow this. I’ve been lucky that only a few items have disappeared from my porch. This one did!☹️

I can't really see through it, but I'd probably wear a slip nonetheless as it's very light material (reminds me of those light silk scarves you wear on your head kind of material). The colors are vibrant, but there really isn't much stretch to the material. For reference, I'm 5'8" tall and weigh 148, and I purchased a medium. It comes to about the top of my ankle so there's no need to wear heels, if you prefer. Overall, nice skirt.
