Trying to find a good black lipstick is hard. Most aren't pigmented enough or wear off easily. THIS ONE however is both very pigmented and stays on extremely well. As long as you shake it before hand.
I tested the lipstick by applying once without shaking and once with shaking it up and the difference is night and day so make sure you read the directions.
The smudge proof aspect is not straight forward however, once it is set and dry it's unlikely to smudge or come off from drinking or light kisses but any pressure and some of the color may transfer. Other factors that have effected how much it transfers after setting are heat and humidity so be wary of that.
Overall I'd give the smudge proof a 8/10 color 10/10 application process a 6/10 (because you do have to shake it and wait up to 10-15 minutes before it's fully set)
