As I like checkered patterns, this is my favorite charcuterie board. It is a nice solid block of wood that looks great and cleans easily. A great investment for entertaining because the wood is excellent and the two different tones of wood in a checkered pattern are so appealing.
It is one of those great entertaining items that is sophisticated enough to be fit into a more formal gathering but will easily work in an impromptu casual gathering.
Although the board comes with the two other pieces. I prefer to use the center checkered board alone and have used it for at least four different gatherings using a variety of foods.
I used it twice for two different brunches serving tiny breakfast sandwiches and fruits.
I have also used it as an appetizer tray to serve fruits, cheeses, crackers, and vegan meats.
Most recently, I used it during a casual family evening dinner at home at our bar/beverage area (Photographs shown). The charcuterie board was the center of attention with various mocktail ingredients on it such as mint leaves, lemons, blueberries, sliced grapefruit and oranges. Surrounding the board were bottles of sparkling water, sparkling cider, simple syrup, maraschino cherries, a pitcher of mocktails, glasses, and glass straws.
Two of my family members commented on the lovely setting and asked to do it again. Another family member said that it was their favorite.
In closing, my family and I had a nice casual meal and having the charcuterie board helped to make it a great and memorable evening. It is simple special touches like this board that make the dining experience special without having to do a lot of work.

This cheese board is really lovely—the design is well-executed and the versatility of having three boards which separate or can be used as one makes it versatile for a wide range of entertaining.
Classic cheese board that adds versatility to the usual function

The boards: You get one 13-inch square board, two-sided. Both sides have a checkerboard pattern; one side has grooves along the edges to collect any moisture from food. The wood inlay is smooth on both sides. There are also two half-circle boards, each with a 13-inch diameter. The boards can be separated (sweets on one, savories on another?) or you can nudge a half-circle board to loosely connect with the square; do this on two sides of the square and it makes a single cheese board into a heart shape, rearrange to get a long oval! The boards have “indents” to separate various food items.
I’m impressed with how well the magnets hold the boards together but be aware not to carry them “connected” as the magnetic attraction is not strong enough for that. Instead, I put the items on each of the three boards, set the largest board on the table and then arrange the smaller boards around it and just move them into position at that time.
I don’t like to have a lot of “extra” things to store in my kitchen, but this cheese board set is so versatile that I don’t resent the space it takes up.
