Small holds 10oz/250gr of whole bean coffee.
Medium holds 1lb/500gr of whole bean coffee.
-
Does the Airscape Coffee Container Let CO2 Out?
The Inner Lid that comes with the Airscape does not burp the naturally occurring C02 of coffee, but C02 is released every time you open your container.
However, you can buy the Fresh-Port Airscape Inner Lid which burps C02 automatically!
-

Small: Height = 140 mm. Inner Circumference = 121 mm
Medium: Height = 170 mm. Inner Circumference = 121 mm
-
Why is Oxygen Bad for Coffee?
Oxygen is bad for coffee because it causes oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical process where oxygen reacts with the compounds in coffee, breaking them down and creating new compounds that are less desirable in terms of taste and aroma.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2025Color: Brushed SteelSize: MediumVerified PurchaseGood coffee beans are expensive and they deteriorate very quickly. In searching for a good product for storing them, I came across the Planetary Designs Airscape. It seemed to be the best option and I ordered one. I am glad I did. It works really well. It's a great design, simple to use but very effective. If you have perishable dry goods, consider buying one of these. They are more expensive than other storage canisters, but will save you money in the long run by keeping your stuff fresh longer.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2025Color: Brushed CopperSize: MediumVerified PurchaseI snagged the Airscape for my coffee beans, and it’s seriously a step above! The patented plunger lid is so cool—it pushes out all the air with a satisfying “swoosh” to keep my beans fresh, and I’ve noticed my coffee stays flavorful even after a couple of weeks. Made from sturdy, restaurant-grade stainless steel, it feels high-quality and looks sleek on my counter, blending perfectly with my kitchen vibe. The clear top lid lets me see how much coffee’s left without opening it, which is super handy, though I do wish the paint was a bit more scratch-resistant. I got the set with the stainless steel scoop, and it fits inside the canister, making mornings a breeze. For about $30, it’s a solid investment for any coffee lover who wants their beans to taste as fresh as day one—totally recommend
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2025Color: Matte WhiteSize: MediumVerified PurchaseAlways been wanting to have this and glad I finally got it. Quality is tops and workmanship is excellent. This will definitely keep my coffee beans fresh. Plus it is aesthetically pleasing in any kitchen counter or if you choose to store it in your pantry, still a beautiful piece to own.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2025Color: Brushed CopperSize: MediumVerified PurchaseWhy did you pick this product vs others?:
Appeared to be the best product for what I needed.
Liked the copper finish.
I tried and it swooshed or clamped down to give an
Airtight fit.
I love it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2025Color: Matte RedSize: MediumVerified PurchaseI love these canisters. I drink only one cup of coffee in the morning so this keeps my beans fresh. Have ordered six of them for myself and as gifts, over time
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2025Color: Matte BlackSize: SmallVerified PurchaseI have the small size. This is well made and seems to work well, but there is an obvious question I have. I roast my own beans, so freshness is important to me. That said, I know that fresh roasted bean tend to release CO2, especially right after roasting. So, when I push down the inner lid/plunger and push the handle down flat, it should be sealed air tight. Is it? I question that. What happens to all of the CO2 the beans release? Most containers for coffee have a one way valve to release the CO2. If you put fresh roasted coffee in a sealed bag with no valve, the bag will eventually blow up like a balloon. Why doesn't the inner and/or outer lid pop up from the pressure? Also, when I open the outer lid, I can smell the coffee even though the inner lid is still down and "sealed". I have 2 of these, and they both do that. I guess that explains where the CO2 goes. I cannot smell the coffee when the outer lid is on. Perhaps the CO2 released from the beans fills the area between the two lids. All in all, it seems to work well enough, but not perfectly. NOTE: If your beans are not really fresh, they won't emit much if any CO2 and even more so for ground coffee, so they may still be exposed to at least some air.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2025Color: Brushed CopperSize: MediumVerified PurchaseKeeps coffee grounds fresh, got this as a gift for a friend. We have two.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2025Color: Brushed SteelSize: MediumVerified PurchaseI'm using it for storing my coffee beans it is a quality product I really like it it keeps it fresh because it's vacuum packed looks really good as well I totally recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Belle boîte
Color: Matte WhiteSize: SmallVerified PurchaseJuste parfaite.

4.0 out of 5 stars Très bon produit

5.0 out of 5 stars Buen producto
Articulo bien construido y en principio realiza su función, falta comprobar como afecta a la conservación de los alimentos a lo largo del tiempo . Por ponerle un "pero", creo que es demasiado caro para lo es.
