In a nutshell, kombucha is fermented tea. The traditional method of making kombucha – which we follow at Remedy – involves a natural fermentation of sweet tea, wild healthy bacteria and yeasts.

How is Remedy Kombucha Made?

Remedy Kombucha is made the old school way: in small batches, long aged brews for 30 days. The result is the tastiest kombucha going around, all natural and bursting with live cultures, organic acids and antioxidants with no sugar, naturally.
HEALTHY ORGANIC ACIDS: THE TOP 5 BENEFITS

Short chain fatty acids (SFCA) are produced during the natural fermentation or brewing process of making kombucha. You probably aren’t prepared for the words “acid” or “fatty” to be good, but trust us these little treasures are a powerhouse of goodness.

Without getting too technical or scientific, organic acids can help to:

• Regulate appetite

• Prevent the overgrowth of bad pathogenic

bacteria.

• Provide an energy source for the good

What is Kombucha?

The traditional method of making kombucha – which we follow at Remedy – involves a natural fermentation of sweet tea with a live culture. The live culture is known as a SCOBY, which stands for Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast.

Our kombucha is brewed for 30 days to ensure all of this sugar is converted into healthy organic acids leaving no sugar (and we test each batch to make sure). What is left is not only a great Kombucha, a delicious Fizzy Drink.

What are the benefits of kombucha?

The benefits of kombucha are live cultures, organic acids, and antioxidants in the form of tea polyphenols. Combined, these three powerhouses help to support our all-important gut health as well as overall health and wellbeing.
Does Remedy Kombucha contain alcohol?

All Remedy drinks are non-alcoholic. A trace amount of alcohol can be produced during the natural fermentation process, but we thoroughly test each and every batch to ensure that this does not go above 0.5%.
Does Remedy Kombucha contain caffeine?

Each serving of Remedy Kombucha has less than 10mg of caffeine per 100ml because it’s brewed with tea, which is very low. To put it in perspective, coffee can contain anywhere between 60-110mg of caffeine.
Can children drink Remedy?

You bet! We know lots of kids who have grown up enjoying kombucha (including Remedy Founders Sarah and Emmet’s own family) and many other types of fermented food and drinks.
Is Remedy Kombucha pasteurised?

No way. While some foods and drinks labelled as live cultured or probiotic get that way thanks to dosed or added ingredients (after the cultures have died), we pride ourselves on the fact that our live, active cultures are from our brewing process
