I ordered these to replace some original Thonet bentwood dining chairs. These are actually more sturdy, and measure almost the same. I looked at the reproductions and couldn't quite justify the expense. The only difference I see is that the wood used has a more irregular surface than the oak originals. These look great, and are comfortable. I don't know how long the rattan seats will last, but the cost of the chairs is so much more reasonable, they are a great value. I hope Modway continues this classic style!!
